ZAGREB, Nov 10 (Hina) - A Croatian parliamentary delegation headed
by parliament speaker Vlatko Pavletic on Monday morning left for an
official four-day visit to Bulgaria, at an invitation of the
Bulgarian Assembly speaker Jordan Sokolov. The Croatian delegation
is expected to conduct many meetings and talks, including with
Bulgarian President Petar Stojanov.
"I expect a friendly welcome, since Bulgaria is a friendly
country", Pavletic told reporters before departure at Zagreb's
Pleso Airport.
"Talks with Bulgarian officials to date have demonstrated that we
have the same view concerning many issues", Pavletic said. "Our
goal is the same - the European Union and NATO. Bulgaria has many
economic problems which it is resolving in line with market
orientation. Since both countries are in transition, we have a lot
to talk about", the Croatian parliament speaker said.
