ZAGREB, 8 Nov (Hina) - The Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Saturday received the U.N. Transitional Administrator in Eastern
Slavonia, William Walker, the President's office said in a
statement.
The two officials stressed their belief that all conditions for the
successful completion of the UNTAES mandate on 15 January next year
have been created.
Past activities of the National Committee aimed at the
normalisation of life and security situation in the Croatian Danube
river region have been positively evaluated.
Attending the meeting were also the President's Chief-Of-Staff,
Hrvoje Sarinic, the President's advisors Luka Bebic and Neven
Madey, and Deputy Chief-Of-Staff Vesna Skare-Ozbolt, the statement
said.
