CRO & BH FEDERATION SPECIAL RELATIONS WILL HELP SOLVE BH CRISIS ( Editorial: --> 7775 )

( Editorial: --> 7775 ) ZAGREB, Nov 3 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman will on Friday 7 November chair a special session of the Croatian government dedicated to the government's two year work with Zlatko Matesa as prime minister, the head of the government's Communications Office, Neven Jurica, told reporters Monday. Commenting on a draft agreement on special relations between Croatia and the Bosnian Federation, presented at a session of the Defense and National Security Council and the Council for Strategic Decisions, Jurica said with that agreement Croatia wanted to make particular contribution to the solution of the crisis in Bosnia- Herzegovina and to stronger protection and stronger interests of the Croat people in the Bosnian Federation, in the spirit of the Dayton and Washington peace agreements. Jurica said the draft agreement proposed real solutions and was aimed at ensuring a high-quality co-existence of the Croat and Bosniak (Muslim) peoples, as well as at ensuring lasting peace and stability of the international order in this region. This week, the draft agreement should be presented to leading world factors and Bosnian Federation authorities, Jurica said. He stressed the agreement did not cover other Bosnian entities or neighbouring countries. "There is no reason for extending special relations outside the Federation of BH", Jurica said. Asked to comment on a demand by two opposition representatives at the Israeli parliament that President Tudjman be denied to visit Israel, Jurica said such a demand was completely unjustified and that there was no foundation for it to come through. Asked if the Croatian government would take steps in relation to crime against Croats in the Bosnian Federation, Jurica said the government on several occasions condemned all crimes against Bosnian Croats. "These crimes against Croats in BH are aimed at undermining the Dayton agreements and all efforts the Croat people has made in the implementing a Dayton and Washington Bosnia-Herzegovina", said Jurica. He was satisfied that the U.S. vehemently condemned those crimes as well. (hina) ha jn 031601 MET nov 97
