ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - "Ambienta '97", the 24th international
fair of furniture and interior decorating, closed on Sunday as
part of the Zagreb Autumn Trade Fair.
Over five days, Ambienta '97 featured 246 exhibitors from
Croatia and 212 from 23 foreign countries, who displayed
household furniture and products for interior and outside
building decorating.
According to Jurica Pavelic, the managing director of the
Zagreb Autumn Trade Fair, this year's Ambienta '97 had more than
twice as many exhibitors and exhibition grounds than in 1990, and
an 11 percent increase in the number of exhibitors was registered
in relation to last year.
Jure Milinovic, head of this year's Ambienta project, said
this year's fair represented a step forward both in the
organization and quality of displayed products, and the mode of
presentation. The exhibitors were particularly satisfied with the
number of business visitors and deals concluded, he added.
Ambienta '97 featured numerous expert conferences which
discussed current issues, situation and trends in the timber and
wood and paper industry.
The exhibitors discussed the said issues with Croatia's
Agriculture and Forestry Minister Zlatko Dominikovic, who
conveyed the Croatian government's support to solving the most
pressing issues.
Numerous awards were given.
