ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - A Croatian Deputy Interior Minister, Zlatko
Gledec, on Monday received the new head of the International
Organisation for Migrations (IOM) mission in Croatia, Jacques
Shcutjes and the former head, Andreas Halbach, the interior
ministry's information office said in a statement.
During the past four years the IOM and the Croatian interior
ministry had cooperated exceptionally well, and it was expected
that such cooperation would continue with the new head of the IOM
mission, Halbach said.
The IOM has dedicated much attention to providing accommodation for
refugees coming from war-affected areas into other countries as
well as to their safe return to their former places of residence.
The IOM and the interior ministry worked together well on the
prevention of illegal migrations, read the statement.
