During an extensive debate, "delegates of the Assembly cited
their experiences and difficulties with beginning additional classes
for children of Serb nationality. The Assembly described as
unjustified the significant delay in the start of the additional
classes. A number of criticisms were attributed to the work of the
Croatian Education and Sports Ministry. It was especially pointed
out that this ministry has still not sent even essential
instructions as to the beginning of the additional classes," the
statement said.
"Although they had been invited, representatives of the
Croatian Education and Sports Ministry had not attended the
meeting," Prosvjeta added.
Attending the assembly were Croatian government office deputy
head for ethnic and national communities of minorities, Mila Simic,
and the Yugoslav Ambassador to Croatia, Veljko Knezevic.
