BRCKO, Oct 12 (Hina) - The international supervisor of the north-
eastern Bosnian town of Brcko, Robert Farrand, issued a decree that
multiethnic police should be set up in Brcko's part under the Serb
control and that special police troops must leave the town by the
end of this year, the Bosnian Croat news agency said on Monday.
According to the decree, the supervisor will determine the
number of policemen who can work in Brcko. The multiethnic police
commander will have two deputies, and all of them should belong to
three different constituent peoples of Bosnia-Herzegovina .
The assembly of municipalities in the Brcko area is expected
to elect them by the two-thirds majority. The assembly is due to
hold its founding session not later than 30 days after the release
of September local elections.
