ZAGREB, Oct 17 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa
and German Transport Minister Matthias Wissmann held talks in
Zagreb on Friday about the development of the transport situation
in Bosnia-Herzegovina and its traffic ties with Croatia.
The manner of development of security and integration
processes was important for traffic, Matesa said, adding that a
transition from political to economic aspect was under way in
Bosnia.
Joint trilateral projects (of Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina
and the United States) of traffic routes Zagreb-Bihac-Sarajevo-
Dubrovnik and Ploce-Sarajevo-Croatian territory-Hungary were very
important, Matesa said and added that Croatia was prepared for
the start of the projects.
Problems on the Bosniac (Moslem) side were described by
Matesa as "more political that technical". He said that because
of its "influence on the political will", the European Union
should be included in the whole process.
Wissmann commended the conduct of the Croatian government
in the past several weeks, describing it as generous and useful
for an impression of Croatia.
On behalf of the Croatian government, Matesa thanked
Wissmann for his help with the opening of the 10th European
corridor, which includes the motorway Ljubljana-Zagreb-Belgrade,
describing Wissmann's idea on the holding of a conference of all
countries though which the 10th corridor passes as interesting
and useful.
