ZAGREB, Oct 13 (Hina) - The first volume of the Croatian Academy of
Arts and Sciences' encyclopaedic edition "Croatia and Europe:
Culture, Science and Art" was presented in Zagreb on Monday.
The editor-in-chief is Ivan Supicic, and the executive
publisher is the Zagreb-based 'AGM' publishing house.
The first volume deals with Croatian culture from the 7th to
the 12th century.
The editor-in-chief of the edition said at the presentation
that a half of the entire project had been completed, and the French
edition of the first volume was to be printed soon. Supicic
announced the printing of the second volume by the end of 1998.
He thanked the Culture Ministry, UNESCO and the AGM publishing
house for the support.
The President of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences
(HAZU), Ivan Supek and Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic spoke about
the first volume on Monday's event.
