RIJEKA, Oct 1 (Hina) - The newly-appointed Swedish Ambassador to
Croatia, Ingemar Borjesson, on Wednesday visited the northern
Adriatic port of Rijeka, where he held talks with the prefect of the
Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Josip Roje, and Rijeka Mayor Slavko
Linic.
Borjesson was accompanied by Swedish Consul in Rijeka Zeljko
Kuis.
Prefect Roje and Mayor Linic thanked the Swedish ambassador
for the assistance Sweden provided to Croatia in its struggle for
sovereignty and freedom.
It is now important for Croatia to establish economic
cooperation with foreign companies, Roje and Linic pointed out
during talks on possibilities the Rijeka area offered in the matter.
