OSIJEK, Sept 29 (Hina) - Osijek-Baranja County prefect Branimir
Glavas on Monday received the political state secretary at the
Hungarian premier's office, Csaba Tabajdi, and associates, who
delivered a donation of agricultural seed worth DM 47,000 to
members of the Hungarian national minority in the Baranja region
of eastern Croatia.
Glavas thanked the Hungarian government for providing care
for Croatian displaced persons and for all the aid given to the
Danube region of eastern Croatia to date.
Tabajdi said three aid actions have been organized so far.
The Hungarian minority in Croatia will be given fertilizer
as well, in order to contribute to the revival of economy in
eastern Croatia, he added.
Glavas and Tabajdi also talked about the reconstruction of
houses and the revival of economy in the Croatian Danube region
which, they said, are the preconditions for the return of
displaced persons and refugees. Talks also touched on the
building of a Hungarian culture and education centre in Osijek to
be financed by the Hungarian government.
