GLINA, Sept 26 (Hina) - The remains of 39 Croatian defenders and
civilians killed in the autumn of 1991 have been exhumed at some
40 sites in the greater Glina area, 60 km south of Zagreb, since
16 September, an expert for Homeland War victims from Glina,
Matija Rom, said on Friday.
Relatives of the exhumed persons identified 29 Croatian
defenders and civilians from the Glina and nearby Topusko areas,
while the remains of ten persons have been sent to the Forensic
Bureau in Zagreb for additional identification, Rom said.
The remains of more than 200 killed Croats have been
exhumed in the Glina area since the Storm liberation action in
1995, he said, adding the remains of 165 persons were still
