Szalay. #L#
Szalay relayed to Sanader the invitation of his Hungarian
counterpart to visit Hungary, which Sanader accepted with pleasure.
The two discussed the bilateral relations and established that
they were developing parallel to good relations between the two
neighbouring countries.
Sanader informed Szalay about the pressures exerted on
Croatia, and stressed that Croatia regarded the UN Security Council
Presidential Statement as not corresponding to the true progress and
situation in the Croatian Danube river region.
Sanader and Szalay stressed that it was important to create
all conditions for a speedy and final return of all displaced
persons to the Croatian Danubian area, including Croatian citizens
of Hungarian nationality. It was of great importance to invest all
efforts into the successful and timely completion of the UNTAES
mandate.
