ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - Economic relations between Croatia and
Poland are not still at a desirable level, but their promotion can
be expected soon, Croatian Economy Minister Nenad Porges and a
Polish Deputy Economy Minister Jan Chaladay have said in Zagreb.
"I am extremely glad that Poland is the partner-country at the
Zagreb Autumn Fair this year, and that President Tudjman is pleased
with our presentation, as we have made efforts to be excellent," the
Polish official said on Monday.
He added that they had agreed with Croatians on a considerable
number of questions referring to an agreement on free trade.
The balanced trade between the two countries amounted to over
100 million dollars last year, and it rose by 17.9 percent in first
seven months this year.
Croatian Minister Porges said that the current trade did not
meet potentials of the two countries. He added that the two
delegations had discussed some concrete programmes for investment.
He predicted that the agreement on free trade between Croatia
and Poland might be concluded by the end of this year.
