BH ELECTION PROGRESSING WITHOUT MAJOR DIFFICULTIES - OSCE

SARAJEVO, Sept 14 (Hina) - Voting at Bosnia's municipal election has been progressing without major obstructions throughout the day, a spokesman for the Bosnian mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, David Foley, told reporters in Sarajevo Sunday afternoon. The three remaining polling stations in Zepce, a town 100 km north of Sarajevo, have been opened, Foley said, and another one has been opened in Drvar, northern BH, in order to step up the voting process. Croat members of local election committees who had refused to open polling stations in Zepce were replaced with Bosniaks (Muslims), Foley said. Additional units of the NATO-led Stabilization Force were sent there to ensure that no incidents occur during voting, he added. The commander of multi-national division "North", U.S. General David Grange, today arrived in Zepce too. According to Foley, some polling stations might remain open after 19.00 hours, depending on the course of voting. Under no circumstances would anyone waiting at the polling station be denied the possibility to vote, he added. Votes will be counted under constant supervision by OSCE observers and representatives of political parties which took part in the election, Foley said The first results will be made known on 20 September.
