ZAGREB, Sept 11 (Hina) - A reception centre for Croatian low- income-
returnees from the Diaspora is to be opened in Velika Gorica near Zagreb
by the end of this year, Croatian Assistant Return and Immigration Minister
Josip Juras told reporters on Wednesday, adding the centre would include
two 1,112 square metre buildings.
The centre, the first of its kind in Croatia, will have 11 four-bedroom
and six five-bedroom apartments. Also envisaged are the superintendent's
premises, a storehouse, a workshop, a laundry, parking ground, and a
tended yard.
The Return and Immigration Ministry believes returnee-families could
spend about six months in the centre, during which time issues regarding
their housing would be settled.
The apartments could be used by students from the Diaspora as well,
the Ministry said.
Two similar centre are planned to be built next year.
