TUZLA, Aug 29 (Hina) - The health condition of US SFOR soldier
Matthew L. Martin of Louisiana, who had been injured during
Thursday's riots in the northeastern Bosnian Serb-held town of
Brcko, was stable on Friday.
Martin will be taken to a hospital in Ramstein, Germany, later
on Friday for operation and recuperation, the SFOR Sector North
information office said in a statement.
Martin was hit in the nose and the eye by a wooden instrument
when about 1,200 Serb civilians attacked SFOR troops at a Sava river
bridge in Brcko. He was taken to a military hospital outside Tuzla
for medical treatment.
