ZADAR, Aug 25 (Hina) - A delegation of the Chinese city of
Hangzhou on Monday visited Croatia's central Adriatic port of
Zadar, where they held talks with the president of the City
Council, Davor Aras, followed by a meeting with Zadar
businessmen, organized by the Zadar Chamber of Commerce.
The Chinese delegation, whose visit to Croatia has been
organized in cooperation with the Croatian Embassy in China,
includes Hangzhou administration representatives and managers of
leading business companies.
The aim of the visit is to establish economic and business
relations with Croatian companies.
In their talks with Zadar's Aras, the Chinese showed
interest for fraternizing their city with Zadar. Hangzhou, the
capital of China's Zhejiang province, has six million
inhabitants, and a developed electronic, chemical, food-
processing and textile industry, as well as tourism. The same
structure of economy was evident in Zadar, the Chinese said,
which augured possibilities for cooperation.
The Chinese delegation will also visit Sibenik and Split on
the coast, and Karlovac, south of Zagreb.
