On Sunday, the associations issued a statement consisting
of conclusions adopted at a meeting held on Saturday.
The statement expressed dissatisfaction with the way Pero
Skopljak, a Bosnian Croat indicted by the International Criminal
Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), was arrested. From the
moment he learned of the indictment, Skopljak had expressed
willingness to got to The Hague of his own accord, the statement
said, expressing support for the request of wrongly accused
Croats from central Bosnia that the duration of their trial be
reasonable.
Only is such a case would we support their appearance
before the ICTY, the statement said.
The statement called on all Croat officials in Bosnia-
Herzegovina to sever all relations with the federal partner and
international community until indictments against Muslims who
committed war crimes against Croats are issued as well.
The statement also expressed dissatisfaction with the way
the Sarajevo and Travnik agreements on the return of refugees are
being implemented.
