ZAGREB, 10 Aug (Hina) - According to the results of tests of sea water quality, conducted by the Rijeka department for protection of the Adriatic on 20 beaches along the Adriatic coast, 11 beaches have high-quality water for swimming,
while the quality of water on the other nine beaches is good.

beaches have high-quality water for swimming, while the quality

Umag ('FKK Sipar' beach), Verudela-Pula ('Svjetionik'
beach), the island of Krk ('Baska'), the island of Murter
(Jezera), Sibenik (hotel complex 'Solaris'), Primosten (Raduca
velika beach), Split (Bacvice), the island of Brac (Zlatni rat
beach), Makarska (the hotel 'Dalmacija' beach), Dubrovnik
(Lokrum) and Cavtat (the hotel 'Croatia' beach) have high-quality
sea water.
Sea water is good for swimming at the town beach in Porec,
at main beaches in Moscenicka Draga and Crikvenica, in Karlobag
('Plantaza' beach), on the island of Pag in Novalja ('Zrce'), at
Zaton's main beach, in Zadar ('Borik'), in Biograd na moru
('Soline') and on the island of Korcula (the hotel 'Bon Repos'
beach).
Regular tests show that the quality of sea water meets the
criteria of the first two categories (high-quality sea water and
water good for swimming). None of the beaches tests have been
carried out on entered the other two categories - periodically
polluted water and water not suitable for swimming.
