SINJ, Aug 10 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Sunday
noon arrived in Sinj where in the afternoon he will attend the
final celebration of the 282nd jousting tournament (Sinjska
Alka).
The President arrived with his advisor for interior
affairs, Ivic Pasalic, and Ambassadors Ivan Simonovic and Janko
Dobrinovic-Vranyczany. They were welcomed by Sinj Mayor and
president of the Lancers From Sinj Knights Society Mate Jukic,
Lancer Duke Major General Mirko Norac, Split County Prefect
Branimir Luksic and the head of the Split County Police
Administration, Marko Bekavac.
Attending the final celebration of this year's jousting
tournament are high officials of the Croatian government and
parliament, the Army, political parties, the Split County, the
Association of Homeland War Disabled Soldiers, and foreign
ambassadors accredited in Croatia.
