CERIC, July 2 (Hina) - Croatian Reconstruction and Development Minister
Jure Radic, on Wednesday delivered keys of 53 renovated houses to their
owners who returned to the eastern Slavonian village of Ceric.
All 450 houses in that war-ravaged village near Vinkovci should be
reconstructed by the beginning of school in autumn, Radic said.
The minister said that Ceric was a great step forward in the
reconstruction of the area. The village had been razed to the ground,
but was a construction site now, he added.
Deputy County Prefect of Vukovar-Sirmium, Andrija Matic, said that
besides 53 reconstructed houses, another 220 houses in the village were
being renovated, and 150 had already roofs.
