BOSNIA'S DELEGATION NAMED FOR BRUSSELS FUND-RAISING CONFERENCE

SARAJEVO, July 17 (Hina) - A session of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Council of Ministers, which should have been held on Thursday, has been cancelled as Serb members of that body have not appeared at the meeting. Reporters were informed unofficially that Serbs excused their absence claiming that they did not come for security reasons. Other members held a consultation with Gerdt Wagner, a deputy to the international community's High Representative to Bosnia. They determined a delegation that will represent the country at a donors' conference scheduled for 23-24 July in Brussels. The Ministerial Council's vice-chairman, Neven Tomic, said that the delegation would consist of co-chairmen Haris Silajdzic and Boro Bosic, Foreign Minister Jadranko Prlic and Civilian Affairs Minister Spasoje Albijanic as well as representatives of Bosnia's two entities. Tomic said that the Croat-Moslem Federation's officials would travel to the Brussels conference with already drafted projects. In line with an EU decision, the Bosnian Serb entity will not receive financial means until it extradites Radovan Karadzic, wanted by the Hague war crimes tribunal, and it can count only on humanitarian aid until Karadzic's extradition. The Ministerial Council's co-chairman, Haris Silajdzic, on Thursday described the situation in the Serb entity as worrisome, and said that such situation would remain until war criminals were brought before the international tribunal. Commenting on latest developments in the Republic of Srpska, Westendorp's deputy Wagner said that the situation was not good. He expects from responsible people in the Serb entity to do their utmost to stop a series of incidents soon. (hina) mš 171719 MET jul 97
