on Tuesday. The contract also includes the construction of two optional ships, a statement released by '3. maj' said.
RIJEKA, 17 June (Hina) - The Rijeka-based shipbuilding company '3. maj'
and the companies Erste Buttner Schiffahrtgesellschaft and Zweite
Buttner Schiffahrtgesellschaft signed a contract on the construction of
two tankers in Hamburg on Tuesday.
The contract also includes the construction of two optional ships,
a statement released by '3. maj' said. #L#
Each ship has a carrying capacity of 13 tons. The tankers, which
will be used for transport of oil products and chemicals, will have most
modern equipment for loading and unloading and navigation.
The ships are to be delivered in 1999 and the two optional ships in
2000. The contract signed today is to take effect in the second half of
July this year.
