OSIJEK, 11 June (Hina) - The Croatian Reconstruction and Development Minister Jure Radic and the director of the company 'Progres' from Beli Manastir (U.N.-administered area), Stjepan Petric, on Wednesday signed an agreement on the
construction of flats for Homeland war victims in Osijek and Beli Manastir. The contract, signed in Osijek, envisages the construction of 57 apartments in Osijek and 21 apartments in Beli Manastir, the value of which amounts to some 17 million kunas (about US $2,8 million). The apartments should be completed by end May 1998.

Radic stressed that today's agreement was the first one to be
signed for the area which is under temporary U.N. administration.
He also recalled the legal obligation of care for Homeland war
victims on the local level.
