ARMS SHIPMENT FOR BOSNIAN FEDERAL ARMY SENT FROM PLOCE BY TRAIN

PLOCE, June 9 (Hina) - A shipment of 4000 tonnes of arms, ammunition and military equipment was dispatched on Monday from the Croatian port of Ploce for Hadzici outside Sarajevo by train. The shipment that arrived in Ploce from the United Arab Emirates last week, is part of the "Equip and Train" programme for Bosnia's Croat-Moslem Federation's army. On Monday, five tanks, eight armoured personnel carriers and other military equipment, weighing 233 tonnes, were transported on 13 wagons. The donation of the United Arab Emirates contains 50 tanks, 40 armoured personnel carriers, a large amount of ammunition, military equipment and spare parts. (hina) jn mš 092149 MET jun 97
