SARAJEVO, June 9 (Hina) - A senior Malaysian officer serving in the
NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina was killed in
a car crash on Sunday, SFOR spokesman Tony White said on Monday.
Lt. Col. Azizan Bin Ahmad died when a NATO vehicle collided with a
UN vehicle in a dense fog in the early morning hours on Sunday near the
southwestern town of Glamoc, White told a news conference in Sarajevo.
Three SFOR soldiers and one member of the International Police Task
Force were lightly injured in the accident.
White said that a civilian had been killed when his car hit an
SFOR armoured personnel carrier outside Visoko, north of Sarajevo, on
Sunday.
