Monday issued a statement saying that a car accident, involving a
British SFOR vehicle 'landrover', happened today in the vicinity of the
hotel 'Medena' near Trogir. A Croatian citizen was killed in the
accident, the statement said. #L#
The victim, who was driving the SFOR vehicle, was not an SFOR
member but a civilian who had worked for SFOR under contract. Therefore,
the whole investigation would be carried out by the Croatian police, the
statement said, adding the SFOR did not want to comment on the accident
until the Croatian police completed the investigation.
