LAW ON AREAS OF SPECIAL STATE CONCERN SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN DANUBIAN AREA - OSIJEK COUNTY DISPLACED

DANUBIAN AREA - OSIJEK COUNTY DISPLACED OSIJEK, 2 June (Hina) - The governing committee of the Osijek County Association of Displaced held a session in Osijek on Monday. The session sent a request to the Croatian government, asking it to adopt a regulation allowing it to immediately start implementing the Law on Areas of Special State Concern in the Croatian Danubian area. Municipalities in the Croatian Danubian area should be categorised according to the Law, vice president of the governing committee Josip Kompanovic said. In the beginning, the Law could be implemented only in those parts of the Croatian Danubian area to which returnees have already started returning or would soon start to, like the villages of 'Srijem triangle', or Bilje, Antunovac and Ernestinovo, Kompanovic said.
