ZAGREB, March 27 (Hina) - Croatia's 1996 gross domestic product
rose by a little more than ten per cent as against 1995, Deputy
Prime Minister Borislav Skegro told reporters after a government
session on Thursday.
According to the latest data published by the Payment
Operations Office, industrial output has seen a continual rise in
the last 17 months. February industrial production was up two per
cent in comparison with the same month last year.
Skegro said that exports and imports had increased in the
first two months of this year, and that the trade deficit was lower
than in the same period last year.
