MOSTAR, March 21 (Hina) - Mostar Mayor, Ivan Prskalo, on Friday
received the head of the OSCE (Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe) mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Robert
Frowick, for talks on problems and a crisis in that southern
Bosnian town.
After the talks, Prskalo said that today's meeting instilled
optimism in him, as solutions of problems and a possibility of
holding elections in Mostar would be taken more seriously into
consideration in future.
Frowick said that he and Prskalo had exchanged views on
problems in Mostar.
Asked by a reporter whether elections would be held also in
Mostar in September, Frowick replied that he could not say it at
the moment and that he should see how events would develop in the
town.
A spokesman for OSCE, David Foley, accompanying Frowick on the
tour to Mostar, said that the OSCE had been following the situation
in Mostar with concern and disappointment, since February 10
incidents.
Frowick is expected to meet Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Head,
Fatima Leho and UNHCR officials in Mostar.
