ZAGREB, Mar 14 (Hina) - Former reporter of Radio Vukovar Sinisa
Glavasevic, a few days ago identified as one of the victims of the
mass killing in Ovcara near Vukovar, Eastern Slavonia, was buried
on Friday at the Zagreb Mirogoj cemetery, in the presence of family
members, Vukovar defenders, high Croatian officials, fellow
reporters and citizens of Vukovar and Zagreb.
On behalf of Radio Vukovar's war-time newsroom, Alenka
Mirkovic-Nadj said that the memory of Glavasevic filled them all
with pride and gratitude.
His reports were Vukovar's connection with the rest of Croatia
and the world. "Vukovar is not surrendering! The defense lines have
not been penetrated" were Glavasevic's words which meant a lot to
the inhabitants and the defenders of Vukovar.
"Yours, and the wish of us all was a free Croatia", Zlatko
Pankovic said on behalf of the Croatian Defense Ministry.
