The Security Council firmly condemned the involvement of west Mostar
police officials in the violent attack on 10 February, the statement said.
The Security Council also condemned the fact that the local police had
not protected the civilians exposed to conflicts between entities which had
happened all over Mostar before and after the incident on 10 February. The
statement stressed the importance the Security Council attached to the
prevention of such incidents in the future.
The presidential statement also condemned the fact that the
authorities had not as yet taken all the necessary steps to implement
decisions from the report.
