KUPRES, March 10 (Hina) - Croat and Serb commissions for missing
and killed persons, on Monday held a session in Kupres, southwest
Bosnia, in line with last week's Banja Luka agreement of Bosnian
Croat-Moslem Federation's President, Kresimir Zubak, and the
Bosnian Serb entity's President, Biljana Plavsic.
The Kupres meeting made no significant progress due to the
failure of Serb side to be cooperative and due to non-appearance of
key representatives of the that side.
A Croat representative, Berislav Pusic, said the Croat side
had offered the exchange of 18 Serb detainees in the Republic of
Croatia for 18 detainees, whom Serbs sentenced, in rigged trials,
to five until 25 years.
Pusic said the Serb side concealed the truth about a Croatian
pilot, Rudolf Perisin, whose aircraft crashed near Bosanska
Gradiska (north Bosnia) during the 'Flash' action in spring 1995.
He added that the Serb side manipulated the truth about the
Croatian pilot claiming sometimes that he was live and then that he
was dead.
"We are ready to accept the truth about Perisin's fate no
matter what it looks like, and to respond to the Serb demand to
release Lakic," Pusic said and stressed that the fate of Perisin
should be first established.
