CROATIAN GOVT ACCEPTS REPORT ON HOUSES CONSTRUCTION FOR DISABLED W

W $ AR VETERANS ZAGREB, March 6 (Hina) - The Croatian Government accepted a report on the construction of houses and flats for completely disabled war veterans, on Thursday's session. Out of 111 houses, planned to be built for those Homeland War veterans, 96 have been already constructed. Croatian Defence Ministry has 81 of them now at its disposal to allocate them. The remaining 13 houses will be built within 60 days, and other two by the end of summer. Minister of physical planning and construction, Marko Sirac, said that the Government had already invested 104 million kuna in construction of those houses and would earmark another 13.8 million for completion of the construction. In future Development and Reconstruction Ministry will engage in houses construction and flats purchase for disabled war veterans and families of the killed in the war. Development Minister Jure Radic informed the Government that flats had been bought for 30 out of 40 such families. At the session the Government determined a law on games of chance. Premier Zlatko Matesa and Finance Minister Bozo Prka described the law as important for a tourism country such as Croatia as well as for the budgetary revenues. Last year, budget receipts from games of chance rose to 150 million kuna, whereas a bigger amount would be expected by the enforcement of this law, Minister Prka.
