SPLIT, Feb 18 (Hina) - The heads of four southern Croatian counties on
Tuesday received a delegation of the Italian region of Molise, currently on
a two-day visit to the southern coastal region of Dalmatia.
The talks focused on the possibilities of strengthening the
cooperation. The Molise delegation, headed by the chairman of the regional
assembly Marcello Venezialle, said that the Italian government had approved
23 billion lire for programmes intended for the children of ethnic Croats in
Molise.
The guests said that they had proposed the introduction of ferry
service between the Italian port of Termoli and the Croatian port of Ploce.
They also proposed cooperation with the Molise centre for the treatment of
cancer with sea algae.
