SARAJEVO, Jan 22 (Hina) - The Bosnian Federation's lower house of
parliament began a session in Sarajevo on Wednesday morning without
representatives of the leading Bosnian Croat party, the Croatian
Democratic Union (HDZ).
House of Representatives speaker Enver Kreso said that there
were conditions for discussion and decision-making as "a sufficient
number of deputies" were attending the session.
The Federation's House of Representatives consists of 78
deputies of the leading Moslem Democratic Action Party (SDA), 36
deputies of HDZ and 26 deputies of opposition parties.
The Bosnian HDZ presidency had called on its representatives
to withdraw from federal government bodies until the Moslems agreed
to appointing a new president and vice president of the Federation.
The participating deputies adopted the proposed 30-item
agenda, including a government programme for the next 100 days,
bills regulating apartment buyouts, a restitution bill and a
privatization bill.
