ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) - On the occasion of Wednesday's unveiling of a monument to victims of the Serb aggression at the mass grave on the Ovcara farm near Vukovar, the Croatian Victimological Society is protesting "in the name of all victims", because none of the perpetrators of those crimes has been taken to court. According to the Society's statement issued on Wednesday, the Hague Tribunal has turned into a farce and it is trying only Croats who defended their home instead of trying notorious war criminals for aggression and failure to prevent crime. The criminal trio, Slivancanin, Mrksic and Radic, as well as generals, commanders and the perpetrators of murders at Ovcara, are still at large. The Society holds that representatives of the international community, primarily Cyrus Vance, should be blamed for the failure to prevent the Serb crimes and the aggression against Croatia. The Society recalls that Vance was in Vukovar on November 19, 1991, but failed to visit the Vukovar hospital, make a list of the wounded and, thus, save their lives. "In a public indictment 'actio popularis', signed by Vukovar Mothers and societies of missing and abducted people, we have charged Cyrus Vance with the crime of failure to prevent crimes, and we repeat it also today," read the statement, signed by the Victimological Society president Zvonimir Separovic.
