PRISTINA, Dec 17 (Hina) - The Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) on
Thursday disclaimed responsibility for the deaths of six Serb
youths, killed on Monday by unidentified gunmen in a cafe in Pec,
western Kosovo.
"The KLA neither carried out nor did it instigate the criminal
killing of six Serb youths in a Pec cafe and we are sure that the
crime was committed by secret Serbian police with the aim of turning
the public against Albanians", KLA spokesman Jakup Krasniqi told
reporters in Pristina tonight.
Krasniqi accused Serbian forces of violating the truce declared
after the Holbrooke-Milosevic agreement, adding that the latest
events in Kosovo could change KLA's decision not to violate the
truce.
Krasniqi further assessed the current situation in the province as
extremely tense.
The KLA will not give up the struggle for Kosovo's independence, he
added.
