RULING HDZ NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO HOLD SESSION MONDAY

ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - The ruling Croatian Democratic Union's (HDZ) National Committee will hold a working session on Monday, to discuss and determine directives with regard to all significant issues related to interior and foreign affairs. According to a statement issued on Sunday, HDZ and Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and other party officials will focus on ways of resolving economic and social issues, in particular unemployment and the improvement of the pensioners' and farmers' position. President Tudjman's initial address will tackle current internal and international circumstances, while the economic and social policy will be tackled by Premier Zlatko Matesa, Foreign Minister Mate Granic, and Finance Minister Borislav Skegro. Party officials Vlatko Pavletic, Vladimir Seks, Ivic Pasalic, and Ivan Milas will talk about HDZ's relations with other political parties in Croatia. The statement pointed out the ruling party emphasised problems with opposition parties must be resolved through dialogue. The HDZ National Committee will also integrate new members, and adopt rule books on the organisation and functioning of HDZ's communities. (hina) ha
