AGREEMENT ON REALISATION OF "CROATIAN HOUSE" PROJECT SIGNED

SYDNEY, Nov 25 (Hina) - Croatian Club, a Croatian society organisation in Sydney, and representatives of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) on Wednesday signed an agreement on the creation of the "Croatian House" which should be opened during the 27th Olympic Games in Sydney in the year 2000. The Croatian House will be located at the 2,500 squared metres of the newly-constructed Croatian Club premises in the section of Sydney where a large number of Croatian emigrants live, only a 15- minute drive from the main olympic stadiums, the Olympic Village and the main Press Centre. "Australian Croatians adopted the idea on the Croatian House with great pleasure, and I can say that it will be a joint project of our emigrants and the Croatian Government. By the project, emigrants express full support to Croatian athletes, economy, culture and tourism, with the aim of worthily representing Croatia at home and in emigration," director of the Croatian Tourist Association, Marijan Bulat, said. The Croatian delegation also includes Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic, who will hold talks with representatives of the Australian Culture Ministry about the realisation of an exhibition of the Croatian cultural heritage which will take place in Sydney during the Olympic Games.
