CRO MINISTER RECEIVES GREEK DIPLOMAT

ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - Croatian European Integration Minister Ljerka Montas-Hodak on Friday received the coordinator of the Royamount Process, Panagiotis Roumeliotis. According to a statement from the Croatian government, the Greek diplomat pointed out the Royamount Process enabled access to European Union funds for financing projects on non-government organisation (NGO) activities, progress in building civic society, and cooperation with neighbouring countries. Roumeliotis hoped Croatia would take a more active role in next year's projects of the Royamount Process, a EU initiative inciting stability and development of good neighbourly relations in south- eastern Europe. Mintas-Hodak said next year Croatia would present two projects related to cooperation between government bodies and NGOs and the issue of multi-culturality in the central European and Mediterranean regions. The Greek diplomat commended the excellent organisation of the Central European Initiative conference of prime ministers, currently taking place in Zagreb. The conference would significantly contribute to promoting Croatia on the international scene, he said. (hina) ha
