ZAGREB, Nov 3 (Hina) - The "Report on the Imperijal", published in
the Croatian press, is not a report by the Croatian Information
Service (HIS) or by any other Croatian intelligence or security
service, National Security Office (UNS) deputy head and HIS head
Miroslav Separovic stated on Tuesday.
Separovic's communique reiterates communication submitted by the
HIS to the Sabor's (parliament) Committee for Internal Affairs and
National Security.
According to the communication, a commission set up by the
President's decree did not detect any abuse of the Defence
Ministry's service for intelligence and security for instigation
of conflicts between high officials.
The HIS's report does not conceal any facts, including those on the
use of business facilities, connections and activities of the
Imperijal weekly, Separovic said.
Claims that the parliamentary investigation was prematurely
suspended or called off are unfounded and false, said Separovic.
