on Tuesday evening a German edition of the book, "Croatian and
Serbian - Delusions and Fabrications" by author Mire Kacic was
presented. Many Croats were present along with numerous Austrians
and reporters.
Vienna University's' Slavistics professor Radoslav Katicic spoke
about the book and stressed its importance for foreign linguistics
and the broad cultural public, which does not know the difference
between the two separate languages.
The book is a scientific monograph from the linguistics field and
researches the historical development of the Croatian language
especially in relation to the Serbian language.
Kacic uses facts, documents and citations from linguistics and
literature and therefore proves without doubt that both languages
are individual - a fact which was negated for centuries.
The German version of the book "Croatian and Serbian - Delusions and
Fabrications" differs to the Croatian edition as the original title
read "Why Croatian can never be Croatian-Serbian".
