ZAGREB, Oct 23 (Hina) - The Community of Croatian Returnees (ZPH) is
not satisfied with the dynamics of reconstruction of the war
damaged areas, particularly the Croatian Danube River region, said
ZPH's President Mato Simic at a press conference on Friday.
Simic believes that the realisation of a donors conference, which
has been postponed several times, is dependent on the fulfilment of
political conditions set by the international community.
By postponing the conference, the international community is
misleading displaced persons, Simic asserted.
ZPH demanded the Government's Office for Displaced Persons and
Refugees to make it possible for displaced persons (living outside
of their county) to visit cemeteries on All Saints Day - Nov 1. (In
Croatia it is customary to visit the graves of loved ones on this
day).
On October 24 ZPH is to establish its branch in the Vukovar-Srijem
county, and on November 7 - in the Sibenik-Knin county, Simic
announced.
