PRISTINA, Oct 16 (Hina) - Kosovo Albanian leader Ibrahim Rugova on
Friday warned about the continued presence of Serbian forces in the
province, adding that they were being sent to new positions while
fresh forces were being sent from Serbia.
Rugova accused the Belgrade regime of this week's sporadic shelling
of the areas of Malisevo, Drenica and Mitrovica, which claimed the
lives of a number of people.
He pointed out the difficult refugee situation and added that
several children had died of cold because refugees were still
living under the open skies.
The Kosovo Albanian leader requested that NATO forces be deployed
in Kosovo as well as that the NATO ultimatum on air attacks on
Yugoslavia remain in effect.
The Serbian regime is conducting a repression campaign against
Albanian political activists, Rugova added.
