SARAJEVO, Oct 14 (Hina) - The Croatian President's special envoy
for relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH) and one of its two
entities, the Croat-Muslim Federation, Franjo Greguric, and
federal Premier Edhem Bicakcic on Wednesday opened a plant of
Zagreb's "Metal Product" in Sarajevo.
By supplying necessary electrical equipment during the Serbian war
siege, the Zagreb company made it possible for Sarajevo to have
small quantities of electricity through alternate transmission
lines.
The opening of a plant in the BH capital is the result of joint
investing of Croatian and BH capital and of "Metal Product's" long-
standing cooperation with the BH electric power supply,
cooperation established during the recent war.
In the future, "Metal Product" will manufacture in Sarajevo
equipment for the transmission and distribution of electricity in
cooperation with German giant "Raychem". The latter's director for
central and eastern Europe Alfred Meier was also in attendance
today.
"Metal Product" director Stjepan Safran pointed out the company had
already been given the ISO 9001 certificate, a high quality
guarantee.
Also attending today was Croatia's ambassador to BH Darinko Bago.
