Bolt expects fast 100-metre sprint in Zagreb

ZAGREB, Sept 12 (Hina) - Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, the 200-metre world champion at the recent championship in Daegu, Korea, said in Zagreb on Monday that he would try to make up things at the Zagreb race tomorrow after being eliminated from the final 100-metre race for a false start at the world championship.

Addressing a news conference on Monday before Zagreb's IAAF World Challenge meeting on Tuesday, the Jamaican athlete said that he saw the forthcoming 100-metre race at the Zagreb meeting as an opportunity to make up for the world championship in Daegu.

I expect a very fast race and I hope that conditions will be good, said Bolt, who arrived in Zagreb on Saturday.

Bolt competed in the Zagreb meeting in 2006, when he won the 200-metre sprint.

The organisers of Zagreb's IAAF World Challenge meeting, to be held in the Croatian capital tomorrow, expect that the event will be viewed in 150 countries worldwide.

Croatia's best athlete Blanka Vlasic today confirmed her participation in the high jump.
