THE HAGUE, Sept 29 (Hina) - Stevan Todorovic, a Bosnian Serb war
crimes suspect, will appear on Wednesday before the International
Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) to hear his
charges and submit his plea.
Todorovic was arrested on Sunday by the Stabilisation Force
(SFOR).
The Bosnian Serb is amongst five other persons accused of
participating in the "terror campaign" started in April of 1992
against Croats and Muslims in the Bosanski Samac area, northern
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Of the six accused in the "Bosanski Samac" case, Miroslav Tadic and
Simo Zaric also held in custody by the ICTY along with Todorovic.
Another indictee, Milan Simic, was released until the trial
commences due to extenuating circumstances (physical
disability).
Indictee Slobodan Miljkovic was killed in Serbia in August, while
war crimes suspect Blagoje Simic is still at large.
Todorovic (aged 41), nicknamed Stiv, Stevo or Monster was the
chief-of-police in Bosanski Samac, following the forcible take-
over of authority in the town by the Serbian military and political
authorities.
