SARAJEVO, Sept 23 (Hina) - The results of a general election held in
Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH) on September 12 and 13 will be issued on
Thursday, the spokesman for the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) mission to BH Dardan Gashi told Hina on
Wednesday.
Earlier it was announced that electoral results might be published
on Wednesday, but the head of the OSCE mission himself had said last
week the date would be September 23 or 24.
The issuance of electoral results is late due to the checking and
counting of so called uncertified ballots. These ballots were used
by persons whose names had not been on voters lists submitted to
polling stations.
The data the OSCE will issue tomorrow refer only to the total number
of votes won by candidates, not to the appointment of
representatives to the state parliament and the parliaments of
Bosnia's two entities.
The latter data is expected after the Temporary Electoral
Commission has confirmed the regularity and results of the
elections.
